PhasAGE

  • GA No. 952334
  • Role: Participant
  • Timeline: January 2021 – December 2023
  • Funding: € 899 741,25

PhasAGE addresses the R&I potential and capacitation challenges raised by the recent awareness that IDPs and phase separation are central in numerous physiological and pathological processes, which are actively studied at the coordinating institution, the Instituto de Biologia Molecular e Celular (IBMC/i3S, PT) and at the Partner Institutions: University of Padova (UniPD, IT), the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB, ES) and the Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologie (VIB, BE). PhasAGE builds on and expands the collaborative network established by the Twinning Partners in the scope of COST Action BM1405 “Non-globular Proteins: From sequence to structure, function and application in molecular pathophysiology” (NGP-net), where advanced computational biology and biophysics approaches were applied to the study of non-globular proteins, including IDPs, recognized as central mediators in phase separation processes.
